Project Description
  1. 175 berth club marina
  2. 100 berth commercial marina
  3. 141 berth marina for 2000 Olympic Games
Involvement:
  1. Layout detail to convert the original fixed marina to a modern international standard floating marina facility.  Detailed design of floating structures and piling.
  2. Layout design to suit Client requirements and detailed design of floating structures, access gangways and piling.
  3. Detailed design of a floating marinas.

ROYAL MOTOR YACHT CLUB BROKEN BAY

Location Sydney, Australia
Period of Involvement: 2002-2004
Project status: Completed
Project Description Replacement of old fixed marina structures with modern floating marina including floating wave attenuator to replace ineffective existing fixed panel breakwater in water depths up to 12 metres and soft sea bed soils conditions.
Involvement: Design of new floating marina structures, review of wave climate studies and determination of suitable wave attenuation structures to provide satisfactory all weather wave climate..
Of Special Note: The determination of a suitable wave attenuator included wave flume modelling and the design of a curved attenuator structure to achieve maximisation of berths and attenuator performance objectives.

 

ROYAL PRINCE ALFRED YACHT CLUB MARINA

Location Sydney, Australia
Period of Involvement: 1999
Project status: Completed
Project Description 237 Berth yacht club marina, redevelopment to convert the fixed marina to a modern floating marina facility.
Involvement: Adjust layout to maximise numbers of berths and minimise loss of berths during the demolition of the fixed structure and construction of the floating marina. Detailed Design of floating structures, gangways and piling.
Of Special Note: Marina designed to withstand waves approaching the marina from the West and impacting on T-heads and also entering fairways.
